Squirrel Blocking Design
These platform bird feeders have a special design which works if you follow the advice from the manufacturer. The feeders are metal so they should not suffer from small animal damage (bears are not small animals!) and the system should block squirrels from taking ALL THE SEEDS you set out in one short visit.
If you spread a layer of sunflower seeds on the bottom of the tray, the two grid system will allow birds to feed but squirrels can not directly reach their muzzles or paws into the tray. We suppose they could reach their tongues through for individual seeds. The roof provides some protection from sun and rain which keeps your seeds fresh longer.
The platform feeders can be hung or pole mounted. Five year guarantee from manufacturer.
