Rather than limiting birds to a fixed number of perches, the Mesh Feeder is a simple tube of fine stainless steel mesh that holds tiny thistle (niger or nyjer) seeds or shelled sunflower seed kernels. Finches cling to any open spot on the tube. The polycarbonate collar protects the birds from sharp edges on the mesh. An interior seed baffle directs the seeds to the outer edges of the tube where the birds can feed.
